Radboud Annals of Medical Students (RAMS) is a journal for and made by students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and the Faculty of Medical Biology of the Radboud University Nijmegen. The associated foundation (i.e. Stichting Medisch Wetenschappelijk Studenten Tijdschrift Radboud universitair medisch centrum) was established at June 4, 2014 by Lars Gallée, Josianne Luijten, Barof Sanaan and Tessa Schoot. The foundation is registered in the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce Arnhem.
The organisation consists of different governing bodies: the board, the supervisory board, the editorial staff and the reviewers. All members of the board, the editorial staff and the reviewer pool are students of the faculty of medical sciences and the Faculty of Medical Biology of the Radboud University Nijmegen. Each student completed a series of master classes given by excellent researchers, which guarantees a high level of scientific knowledge.
Our goal is to enthuse (bio)medical students of the Radboud University Nijmegen to participate in research during their studies. Moreover, we offer students an easily accessible opportunity: to place their first paper in RAMS. Besides placing medical research papers in RAMS, we will share editorials that either help students in their research internship or motivate them to do research. We also organise various activities regarding science, such as masterclasses, symposia en RAMS Research Rounds.
RAMS was created by Michiel Schoenaker and Rick Verstegen.
